CGDRA is a dedicated rural development organization working towards empowerment, education, skill development, research and sustainable socio-economic growth in rural communities.
Centre for Grassroot Development Research and Action (CGDRA) is a state-level non-governmental organization established by a group of devoted researchers, social workers and professionals with the noble mission of promoting multi-faceted rural development.
The organization was registered under the Madhya Pradesh Society Registration Act, 1973 as the Association of Grassroot Development Research and Action in the year 1996. CGDRA is also registered under Section 12A and 80G (5)(vi) of the Income Tax Act.
Since the majority of the Indian population resides in villages, continuous efforts are required for socio-economic development, employment generation, education, healthcare awareness, technology adoption and environmental sustainability in rural areas.
In order to address these challenges and responsibilities, CGDRA has been actively working in the fields of Panchayati Raj, Agriculture, Science & Technology, Environment, Health Research, Skill Development and Capacity Building.
Since 2004, CGDRA has successfully implemented various projects related to rural development through Information, Education and Communication initiatives funded by government organizations. Through these projects, the organization has benefited more than 1,40,000 rural beneficiaries and empowered over 45,000 women beneficiaries under various development schemes.
