Chanderi carries a low sheen that turns turmeric into something closer to old gold. The bel — a flowering creeper — runs diagonally so it reads as movement when worn. Six lengths left from this dye lot.

Because each length is stamped by hand, the repeat will shift very slightly across the metre and the wax will crack differently every time. Those variations are not defects — they are the only reliable proof that no machine was involved.
