Vertical vines, printed in an unbroken run so the stripe carries the full length of the kurta. Mehendi green is a difficult dye to keep even across a bolt — this one is dyed in small batches for exactly that reason.

Because each length is stamped by hand, the repeat will shift very slightly across the metre and the wax will crack differently every time. Those variations are not defects — they are the only reliable proof that no machine was involved.
