A continuous chakra jaal — interlocking rings that have to be registered by eye, block after block, across three metres. Get it wrong and the whole length is scrap. This is the piece we use to test new printers.

Because each length is stamped by hand, the repeat will shift very slightly across the metre and the wax will crack differently every time. Those variations are not defects — they are the only reliable proof that no machine was involved.
