Almost every complaint we receive about colour comes from a first wash done in a machine with other clothes. Please don't.
Wash the length alone, by hand, in cold water with a mild detergent. You will see colour in the water. That is loose surface dye, not the print lifting.
The rules that matter
No bleach, ever — natural dyes have no defence against it. No direct sun for drying; shade keeps the print deep. Iron on the reverse while very slightly damp.
From the third wash onward, cold machine wash on a gentle cycle is fine. By then the cloth has settled and cotton has begun to soften properly.

Rupali Printers6 days agoRoughly 60% is skimmed off the boiling water and reused. The rest goes into the fabric permanently or is lost to the drain trap — we're working on that number.
