Indigo ambi motifs on hand-spun cotton
Delivery & returns
The ambi — the mango paisley — is the oldest motif on our tables, and this is the block our master printer cut himself in 1998. Dipped twice in a natural indigo vat, the ground reads almost black in low light and opens into deep blue in sun. The wax crackle is left deliberately visible.
Because each length is stamped by hand, the repeat will shift very slightly across the metre and the wax will crack differently every time. Those variations are not defects — they are the only reliable proof that no machine was involved.
